When working with groups of educators we typically divide them into two categories, formal educators which are classroom teachers and non-formal educators which are those educators who work in non-formal settings like environmental education or nature centers, museums, homeschoolers, etc. So, they are not "non-educators" or "non-teachers", but non-formal educators.
