Step One: Become a Volunteer by Registering.
To become involved with this activity, the first step for your teacher is to register your school and the quad it will cover. Read over the Volunteer section to understand the guidelines etc. Go to the Participation in the Earth Science Corps page for all the information. Be sure to state on the volunteer documents below that you want to do GPS work and not map annotation. USGS still has many people only wanting to do map annotation - even though the USGS prefers GPS work.
