“Hands On Introduction to GIS”

This hands-on introduction to GIS is for all grade 3 - 16 formal and non-formal educators and particularly those who wish to learn what GIS is all about. Teachers will learn what GIS is as well as get a feel for the software. This class will provide teachers with a basic introduction to GIS knowledge and how to work with the ArcExplorer software in the classroom. Hands-on activities, introduction materials and software will be provided. No prior GIS experience is necessary.
