MAC Install
Directions from ESRI

This section was added to help those people who asked about using GIS with MACs. After this question surfaced at some of our presentations and conferences, we decided post what we have found to work. These directions and suggestions came from ESRI.

MACINTOSH INSTALLATION:

1. Find the installation program.

Using Windows Explorer or by selecting Run under the Start menu, navigate to the ArcVoyager directory: : \GIS\VOYAGER\SPECIAL.

Find the file Setup.exe. Double click it and follow the instructions.

NOTE: DO NOT install ArcVoyager into a directory with spaces in the name, e.g., C:\PROGRAM FILES\VOYAGER.
The application will not operate properly. NOTE: If you are installing an older version of ArcVoyager, the default installation directory may be C:\PROGRAM FILES\VOYAGER.
CHANGE this to C:\VOYAGER.

2. Rebuild the desktop file.

Restart your computer and hold down the Option and Command (Apple) keys as it starts.
When prompted if you want to rebuild the desktop file, click "OK".

3. Increase the memory allocation for the ArcView application.

Find the ArcView application program in the folder \ESRRAV GIS30\. Increase the Preferred Size to at least 16500 k. If your computer has more memory available, allocate as much as possible to ArcView. In doing this, be mindful of your other system requirements.

Hope this helps!!
